The resurgence of police violence against protesters in 2013 has caused many (media) activists to look for new ways to protest. This episode presents some of these new forms and languages that use humor and escrache to communicate. Examples such as the protest that was known as “The Wedding of Miss Baratinha”, the various works of the Rafucko videomaker and experiences such as Casa Nuvem, in Rio de Janeiro. The episode also shows ways in which media activism can empower the citizen in the relationship with his city, neighborhood, community, as in the experience of the Papo Reto Collective, in Complexo do Alemão.
